Heritage and culture: precision work above old buildings.

Mons lives off heritage. The Grand-Place, the belfry, the Sainte-Waudru collegiate church, plus a university and a cultural sector that commissions a lot of filming. Flying above historic buildings is precision work: close enough for detail, far enough to touch nothing, with an image sharp enough to show.

So here it is more often about image quality than collision damage. From Mons we get many gimbal problems no pilot would call damage: the horizon is a degree off, the camera judders slightly when panning, the focus hunts. That comes from wear in the gimbal motors and from ribbons fatigued after thousands of movements.

Everything here exists in French too, including our emails. Click FR at the top.

Repairs

What reaches us most often from this region

Gimbal and camera

Small motors that keep shaking, ribbons torn at the fold, an image hanging crooked or soft on one side. Often the result of thousands of folds.

Firmware and software

Aircraft frozen during an update, activation that keeps failing, error messages that keep returning. Often solved without replacing anything at all.

Arms and shell

Broken arms, hinges with play, a cracked underside after a hard landing. Usually the most visible damage and rarely the most expensive.
