The Phantom and the Inspire are no longer made, and that is exactly what makes them interesting to us. Anyone with a dead Phantom 4 Pro will not be offered a repair by an official service, at best a proposal to move to a new aircraft. While the aircraft itself still produces perfectly good images.
This is where our value is greatest. A board that is no longer supplied we can still repair — lay in a trace, replace a burnt component, re-seat a chip shaken loose by an impact. For parts that are genuinely exhausted we search the second-hand market or use an equivalent, and we always say in advance which.
Do expect somewhat longer turnaround than on a current Mavic. Sourcing parts sometimes takes time; you hear that straight away, with a date attached.
